Islamic quotes :: Positive Quotes

Avoiding What is Doubtful:

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said “That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful is also quite clear. Between these two is that which is ambiguous, which most people do not know. One who avoids the doubtful safeguards his faith and his honor.”

Business and Trade:

O ye who believe! Do not squander one another’s wealth in vanities, but let there be amongst you traffic and trade by mutual good will.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked what type of earning was best, and he replied: ” A man’s work with his hands and every (lawful) business transaction.”

Moderation:

Lying leads to vice, and vice leads to indecent acts and if a person goes on lying till in the sight of Allah he is named a liar.

“O you who believe! Give of the good things which you have (honorably) earned. And of the fruits of the earth which We have produced for you, and do not even aim at getting anything which is bad, in order that out of it you may give away something, when you yourselves would not receive it except with closed eyes.(The Qur’an, Al-Baqarah, 2: 267)

“He who buys the stolen property, with the knowledge that it was stolen, shares in the sin and shame of stealing.“ Prophet Muhammad (s) in a hadith reported by al Bayhaqi and cited in al Qaradawi.
