Bid’ahs common on ‘Ashura

Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked about the things that people do on ‘Ashura, such as wearing kohl, taking a bath (ghusl), wearing henna, shaking hands with one another, cooking grains (hubub), showing happiness and so on. Was any of this reported from the Prophet, peace be upon him, in a sahih hadith, or not? If nothing to that effect was reported in a sahih hadith, is doing these things bid’ah, or not? Is there any basis for what the other group do, such as grieving and mourning, going without anything to drink, eulogizing and wailing, reciting in a crazy manner, and rending their garments?

His reply was:

“Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Nothing to that effect has been reported in any sahih hadith from the Prophet, peace be upon him, or from his Companions. None of the Imams of the Muslims encouraged or recommended such things, neither the four imams, nor any others. No reliable scholars have narrated anything like this, neither from the Prophet, peace be upon him, nor from the Companions, nor from those after them; neither in any sahih report or in a da’if (weak) report; neither in the books of Sahih, nor in as-Sunan, nor in the Musnad. No hadith of this nature was known during the best centuries, but some of the later narrators reported ahadith like the one which says, ‘Whoever puts kohl in his eyes on the day of ‘Ashura will not suffer from eye disease in that year, and whoever takes a bath (does ghusl) on the day of ‘Ashura will not get sick in that year,’ and so on. They also reported a fabricated hadith that is falsely attributed to the Prophet, peace be upon him, which says, ‘Whoever is generous to his family on the day of ‘Ashura, Allah will be generous to him for the rest of the year.’ Reporting all of this from the Prophet, peace be upon him, is tantamount to lying.”

Then he discussed in brief the tribulations that had occurred in the early days of this Ummah and the killing of al-Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him, and what the various sects had done because of this. Then he said:

“An ignorant, wrongful group – who were either heretics and hypocrites, or misguided and misled – made a show of allegiance to him and the members of his household, so they took the day of ‘Ashura as a day of mourning and wailing, in which they openly displayed the rituals of Jahiliyyah such as slapping their cheeks and rending their garments, grieving in the manner of the Jahiliyyah … The Shaytan made this attractive to those who are misled, so they took the day of ‘Ashura as an occasion of mourning, when they grieve and wail, recite poems of grief and tell stories filled with lies. Whatever truth there may be in these stories serves no purpose other than the renewal of their grief and sectarian feeling, and the stirring up of hatred and hostility among the Muslims, which they do by cursing those who came before them … The evil and harm that they do to the Muslims cannot be enumerated by any man, no matter how eloquent he is. Some others – either Nasibis who oppose and have enmity towards al-Husayn and his family or ignorant people who try to fight evil with evil, corruption with corruption, lies with lies and bid’ah with bid’ah – opposed them by fabricating reports in favour of making the day of ‘Ashura a day of celebration, by wearing kohl and henna, spending money on one’s children, cooking special dishes and other things that are done on ‘Eid and special occasions. These people took the day of ‘Ashura as a festival like ‘Eid, whereas the others took it as a day of mourning. Both are wrong, and both go against the Sunnah, even though the other group (those who take it as a day of mourning) are worse in intention and more ignorant and more plainly wrong … Neither the Prophet, peace be upon him, nor his successors did any of these things on the day of ‘Ashura, they neither made it a day of mourning nor a day of celebration …

As for the other things, such as cooking special dishes with or without grains, or wearing new clothes, or spending money on one’s family, or buying the year’s supplies on that day, or doing special acts of worship such as special prayers or deliberately slaughtering an animal on that day, or saving some of the meat of the sacrifice to cook with grains, or wearing kohl and henna, or taking a bath (ghusl), or shaking hands with one another, or visiting one another, or visiting the mosques and shrines and so on  all of this is reprehensible bid’ah and is wrong. None of it has anything to do with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, or the way of the Khulafa’ ar-Rashidun.

It was not approved of by any of the imams of the Muslims, not Malik, not at-Thawri, not al-Layth ibn Sa’d, not Abu Hanifah, not al-Awza’i, not al-Shafi’i, not Ahmad ibn Hanbal, not Ishaq ibn Rahwayh, not any of the Imams and Scholars of the Muslims.” [Al-Fatawa al-Kubra]

Ibn al-Hajj, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned that one bid’ah practiced on ‘Ashura was deliberately paying zakat on this day, late or early, or slaughtering a chicken just for this occasion, or – in the case of women – using henna. [Al-Madkhal]

We ask Allah to make us followers of the Sunnah of His Noble Prophet, to make us live in Islam and die in a state of faith. May He help us to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. We ask Him to help us to remember Him and be thankful to Him, to worship Him properly and to accept our good deeds. May He make us of those who are pious and fear Him. May Allah bless our Prophet Muhammad and all his family and companions.

“O Allaah! Show us the truth as truth so that we may follow it, and show us falsehood as falsehood, so that we may abstain from it.”

Muhammad(pbuh) —- A HERO

says K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian (Hindu) professor of Philosophy, in his booklet “Muhammad the Prophet of Islam” calls him the “perfect model for human life.” Professor Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

5813_241389200404_586265404_8024493_7458474_nThe personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a HERO.

Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) Family Tree

In The name of Allah,The Most Merciful,The Most gracious

Assalam Alaykum Brother and Sisters,

Below 2 Hadith given to me by Non-Muslim(Christian) Friend saying :

Sahih Muslim , Book 039, Number 6761:

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There is none whose deeds alone would entitle him to get into Paradise. It was said to him: And, Allah’s Messenger, not even you?… Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that my Lord wraps me in Mercy.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Number 470:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle said, “The deeds of anyone of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire).” They said, “Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah’s Apostle?” He said, “No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me. Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night, and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach your target (Paradise).”

Praise be to Allah ,
So brother you say Allah will not forgive and every muslim will go in helll…I’m not scholor but still im going to explain and tell u a short story, which i heared from my parents…I’m not sure story is true or not,but surely story will explain you the motive…
and the above hadiths, then after that you decide it…Story begin

There was a man, who lived 500 years and worships Allah SWT every second..
A very good worshiper…he left his home just to worship Allah.

After his death, he was in front of Lord.

Then Allah said to Angels, take him to Jannah, due to my mercy.

When he was going, he was looking back to Allah. Then Allah stopped him and asked…What is problem.

Then he said Allah, please forgive me, I want to know why you said, I’m sending you heaven due to my mercy.

What about those 500 years, I worshiped only and only you every second.

Then Allah said to Angels, take to near Hell Gate, when he reached gate.
they opened gate, still he was so far from gate…
the hot air coming out from hell, removed all water from his body,

he became so much thirsty, then Allah said to Angel, give him one small bowl full of water.

He drinks All Water, he felt some satisfaction…

then Allah said, now, and I have given you the reward of your 500 year of worship.

Now what you will give me, for the food, for good facility,
good health, good time I gave you in world. What you will pay for that.

Then he understood point, and asked Forgiveness from Allah…

and Allah Sent him in Heaven due to His Mercy .

so,The Moral of story is No Matter How much good worshiper you are,

You will go heaven due to Allah MERCY,

thats what that hadith says,

A Muslim who is doing all good deeds can’t guarantee paradise, not even prophets

he will go Heaven due to Allah Mercy not for his good dead done by him……

We can never thank Allah for the blessings that He has given us.
Let us use these blessings to recognize Allah before our death.

May Allah guide us on right path, forgive our sins and have mercy on us,
May Allah Forgive me if im wrong at any place,

slave of ALLAH SWT

Beautiful Lessons From Hadith

Beautiful Lessons from Hadith !The Best Among You.

The Prophet (SAW) said:

Shall I tell you who Are the best among you? The best of you are those who when seen are a means of Allah being brought to mind.

Spend Righteously And Teach Wisdom.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

There are two kinds of people worth envying: someone whom Allah has made rich and who spends his money righteously, and someone whom Allah has given wisdom and who acts according to it and teaches it to others.

Thank People.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

He who does not thank people does not thank Allah.

Acts Of Kindness.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Through (a person’s charitable giving), God takes away arrogance and vanity.”

The Prophet (SAW) also said,

“Allah is Kind and He loves kindness. Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty.”

(Sahih Muslim)

The Prophet (SAW) said,

“If a man suffers injustice and endures it patiently, Allah will grant him strength.”

Remember Allah.

The Prophet (SAW) said,

“When any group of people remembers Allah, angels surround them and mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him.”

“Without doubt, it is the remembrance of Allah that brings tranquility to the heart.”

(Al-Quraan 13:28)

Visit The Sick.

The Prophet (SAW) said,

“Heaven calls out to anyone who visits a sick person: ‘You are good and your path is good. May you enter your residence in Paradise.”

The Golden Rule.

The Prophet (SAW) said,

“Do you know who will go first on the Day of Resurrection to the shade of Allah? Those who when given what is right accept it, when asked for something give freely and who judge in favour of others as they do for themselves.”

Allah Loves You.

A man once came to the Prophet (SAW) with a sheet of cloth and something in his hand. The man said, “I saw a group of trees and heard the sound of young birds. I took them and put them in my garment. Their mother then came and began to hover around my head. I showed (the chicks) to her and she fell on them. I wrapped them (all) with my garment. They are now with me.” The Prophet (SAW) said to his companions, “Are you surprised at the affection of the mother for her young? … Allah is more affectionate to His servants than a mother to her young ones. Take (the chicks) back and put them where you found them.”

(Abu Dawud)

A Friendly Word.

The Prophet (SAW) told his companions:

“Save yourselves from (Hell) even if with half of a date (given in charity), and if that is not available then (save yourselves) by saying a friendly word.”

A Place In Paradise.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

Whoever builds a Masjid, seeking Allah’s pleasure; Allah will build for him a similar place in Paradise.

Avoid Anger.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that a man said to the Prophet (SAW) “Advise me!” The Prophet (SAW) said:

“Do not become angry and furious.” The man asked (the same) again and again, and the Prophet (SAW) said in each case: “Do not become angry and furious.”
