Yeah it is allowed but go through the following verses carefully, its very critical and sensitive issue ::

Allah (swt) says: “And (Lawful in marriage are) chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you…” [Surah Al-Maidah 5:5]

*who were given the scriptures are actually jews and christians

Based on the above verse, most of the scholars say that a Muslim man can marry any woman who is a Jew or a Christian.

BUT On the other hand, if we read the Qur’an as a whole,

Allah (swt) also says that Muslims are not allowed to marry Mushriks i.e. people who associate partners with Allah (swt).

“And do not marry Mushrik (polytheistic) women until they believe. And a believing slave woman is better than a polytheist, even though she might please you.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:221]

Moreover, we find that the Jews and the Christians too associate partners with Allah (swt). Says Allah (swt) in the Glorious Qur’an:

“They (Jews and the Christians) have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and (also) the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.” [Surah At-Tawbah 9:31]

The Christians, who claim that Jesus (pbuh) is God as well as the Son of God, insist on the supposed divinity of Jesus (pbuh) and worship him as such.

“They have certainly disbelieved who say, “Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed he who associates other with Allah – Allah has forbidden him paradise and his refuge is the fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.” [Surah Al-Maidah 5:72]

From the above-mentioned verses and many such verses of the Qur’an, it is very clear that almost all the present day Jews and the Christians are committingshirk by joining partners with Allah (swt)

— and no it is NOT a contradiction in quran that at one place Allah said marry christans and at other HE swt said that jews and christians are polytheist, It is actually like this, most of the catholics and jews majority has deviated from worshipping the one GOD only, just like we muslims have sects like sunni and shia, they too got sects, where MAJORITY of catholics believe that Jesus is SON of God, which is naudubillah the shirk and biggest sin.

“Among them (Jews and the Christians) arebelievers but most of them are defiantly disobedient.” [Surah Ali Imran 3:110]

——-> we are NOT allowed to marry with MUSHRIKS at any cost

For Muslim men and women – for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are constant and patient, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast [and deny themselves], for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise – for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.) (Qur’an 33:35)

—- > Let’s take a different turn.

Just ask one question from your self what path your children will follow?

Allah subhana wa’tala said:

O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones (Qur’an 66:6)

you know mother and father plays an important role in buliding up, will you be able to save your self and your children from the intense fire of hell, if you married a man from different religion who are polytheists? who are mushriks? who don’t pray 5 times, who says Jesus is SON of Allah (naudubillah) or who rejects our Allah and BELOVED prophet Muhammad peace be upon him?

Marriage in Islam is a recommended as a religious requirement.

“Marry those among you who are single and (marry) your slaves, male and female, that are righteous” (Quran 24:32)

Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) declared:

“When the servant of Allah marries, he has fulfilled half the (responsibilities laid on him by the) faith; so let him be God conscious with respect to the other half”. (Mishkat)

Women impure are for men impure, and men impure for women impure, and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity (Qur’an 24:26)

—- > In order to achieve this great goal of strengthening the marriage bond, and establishing a stable family life, it is essential to choose the right partner in the first place.

“A woman is married for (one of) four reasons: her wealth, her status, her beauty and her religious devotion. So marry the religious woman, else you be a loser.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

===== every one knows now a days christians are polytheists their book is being totally changed, they deny the concept of ONE God, they believe Jesus The son of God – which is the worst form and biggest of shirk….so we are never ALLOWED to marry with muhsriks!! if a person you’re gonna marry belong to any of that sect of chrstanity which believe in trinity and Jesus as son of god, then you’re never permissble to marry her ========
