Islam (Arabic: الإسلام; al-’islām (help·info)) is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion originating with the teachings of Muhammad, a 7th century Arab religious and political figure. The word Islam means “submission”, or the total surrender of oneself to God (Arabic: الله, Allāh).[1] An adherent of Islam is known as a Muslim, meaning “one who submits (to God)”.[2][3] There are between 1.2 billion to 1.8 billion Muslims, making Islam the second-largest religion in the world after Christianity.[4]
Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur’an to Muhammad, God’s final prophet, and regard the Qur’an and the Sunnah (words and deeds of Muhammad) as the fundamental sources of Islam.[5] They do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. Islamic tradition holds that Jews and Christians distorted the revelations God gave to these prophets by either altering the text, introducing a false interpretation, or both.[6]
Islam includes many religious practices. Adherents are generally required to observe the Five Pillars of Islam, which are five duties that unite Muslims into a community.[7] In addition to the Five Pillars, Islamic law (sharia) has developed a tradition of rulings that touch on virtually all aspects of life and society. This tradition encompasses everything from practical matters like dietary laws and banking to warfare.[8]
Almost all Muslims belong to one of two major denominations, the Sunni (85%) and Shi’a (15%). The schism developed in the late 7th century following disagreements over the religious and political leadership of the Muslim community. Islam is the predominant religion throughout the Middle East, as well as in parts of Africa and Asia. Large communities are also found in China, the Balkan Peninsula in Eastern Europe and Russia. There are also large Muslim immigrant communities in other parts of the world such as Western Europe. About 20% of Muslims live in Arab countries.[9]

Mohammed was nothing more than a man who realized that religion was able to build a powerful army. So, he ran around claiming to be a prophet until he got enough believers to do just that….create an army.
Then his army ran around forcing people to convert or die. It was nothing more than a basic hostile military takeover, just with a religious twist to it.
He was simply a violent power hungry dictator who used religion as a means to build power. A glorified cult leader, a fraud.

most people where I live have read the Koran and none of us are running to convert. I want more for my daughters tham islam gives. I think it is good enough for our women to obey the new testiment of submission to their own husbands. SOME of us in America believe that. We also believe that we should leave our hair long and wear a covering to pray. Some of us believe we should not wear pants and we should wear long skirts. I am acquainted with and have many Mennonite and Amish sisters. YOU muslim women are not any holier than they are. One difference is that my mennonite sisters do not look down on and hate on women who arent Mennonites. Your Muslim females make fun of non-muslims. THAT is one reason I would turn from you people. You are spot on. These muslim clowns are so brainwashed from birth that they are not able to think for themselves.
Every time non muslims point out errors, contradictions and plain errors (like the earth is flat,the mountains anchor the earth and the sky can be rolled up like a parchment, kill infidels and non believers etc) in the koran (yes it is in the koran!!), they make up some excuse.
When you point out that muha(mad) was a child molestor, murderer, bigamist and rapist etc. they make up more excuses.
The good news is that they are wasting their lives by not having a glass of red, eat prosciutto and celebrate life in general. They prefer banging their heads 5 times a day,(I say to keep them from straying from the cult) spend hours at the mosques on fridays, wake up in the middle of the night so they can face towards satan (not the heavens like other religions).
Their brains are so addled that they cannot see or think for themselves any more.

Regarding the name of our prophet, while the disbelievers praising our prophet orelse scolding, obviously they wont mention our prophet as “Muhammed (SAW)”….they only call him by his name alone….but as muslims we should respect our prophet more than anyone & whenever we hear the name of our prophet, we should say salawaath on him…first if we respect our prophet (SAW) in all case even while mentioning his name, then only we will get angry if anyone abuses him……am i right King?
